AttendanceRegular attendance is extremely important for dancers to learn and review steps and combinations with their class. Excessive absences may hinder their progress and necessitate a change in class level and/or removal from performance dances. Make up classes may be scheduled within the month you are absent. When our students are not in class, we worry, so we would appreciate a courtesy call if your child is ill or otherwise unable to attend class. Visitation WeeksThe Dance Studio holds "visiting weeks" in the fall and spring each year. Parents are encouraged to visit their child's dance class during visiting days. Video and still cameras are allowed. Brothers and sisters are welcome to visit as long as they are not distracting to the students or the teacher. If grandparents or other out-of-town relatives wish to observe at a time other than visiting weeks, please call the studio in advance to make arrangements. The Dance Studio has viewing windows open to parents at any time. We only ask that you refrain from looking if your child becomes distracted from the class. | ![]() | |
Dress CodeProper dress for dance class is extremely important as teachers need to be able to see a dancer's body in order to give corrections. T-shirts, shorts, sweats are not acceptable for class attire, but should be worn to and from the studio as cover-ups. Any dancers not properly dressed for class may be asked to sit out and observe. Dancewear may be purchased at our studio, Movin' Easy (404 W. 30th Street, 474-0980), or Capezio Dance Theatre Shop (5114 Balcones Wood Dr. Suite 304, 502-1150)
Studio Etiquette1. No gum, food, or drinks in the studio. |
