After trying other dance studios and years of dance for my daughter, I am so happy we found Tarrytown Dance. She has learned more here that at any other studio. The teachers are fabulous and truly invest in your dancer. They have made a huge difference in her dancing and she LOVES to go to class!

I LOVE Tarrytown Dance i would like to take this time to apologize to the people ive hurt. After hearing things that aren't true from a former employee that is crazy i assumed the worst. This studio is the reason why i have become who i am today. Everyone that works here is amazing, sweet, positive and they care about everyone of their students. The owner is probably the best boss anyone could ever have. She is so hard working and does everything she can to please her students and parents. They are very organized and make dancing soo much fun! I want to point out one particular teacher Kerin. She is the one that inspired to be an amazing young women and to never give up. Over the years she has always made all the classes i took SO much fun. She made dancing such a big and fun part of my life the last few years.

If you want a studio that cares about you and your students this is the place to come. If you want to just let go of your worries and come somewhere that is relaxing and fun with accepting people this is where you want to be.

I loved taking Dance here, I took Jazz, Lyrical, and a Leaps & Turns class for a few years. The teachers are nice, but give excellent instruction. The prices aren't cheap, but are reasonable for the quality of instruction that is received. The owner, Leigh, is the sweetest woman, and is always a joy to be around. Their customer service is excellent--all correspondance by phone or email is answered promptly. They also have a variety of summer programs, mostly catered to younger children, that seem like they would be great for busy moms in the summer.
If you're looking for a nice, safe, and happy atmosphere for a child to learn dance, Tarrytown Dance Center would be perfect.

i have danced here for 5 years and loved it! the teachers make it so much fun and make you enjoy dance. if your looking for somewhere to learn dance and have fun this is the place! the owner Leigh, is awesome! shes so energetic and you cant walk out of class with her not smiling! same with the other teachers there. they are experianced loving fun teachers and have made my experiance amazing these last 5 years!

This is the best of the best. My son takes hip hop here and loves it. The teachers are amazing, the owner is over-the-top fab and the location is perfect - in the heart of Tarrytown.
They have kid and adult classes. Ballet, hip hop, Jazz and others.
I highly recommend it!

I adore my body sculpt class at Tarrytown Dance Center. The teachers are high energy, enthusiastic and know their stuff!! I've taken here for 7 years and the women in my class are like family to me. Leigh is the owner and is the most energetic, sweetest person to deal with. Super convenient studio, fun, great people, super workout...you can't beat it!!

My daughter started at Tarrytown dance when she was 2 1/2. She is 4 now. We've done creative movement, ballet/tap combo, the Frozen summer camp, and a Barbie winter break camp. Basically, anything they offer, we sign up for. My daughter's dance classes here are the only activity she asks to do each and every semester (and even in the breaks between).

Here are some of the things we love--

1. The studio is the kind of place that builds community around it. I've made friends there. She's made friends. It's a warm and welcoming place. We didn't know anyone in town when we started taking here, and I feel so blessed that we stumbled into such a friendly place.

2. I love that the owner, Leigh, actually teaches classes. And she's phenomenal. Which I guess isn't surprising since she's been teaching dance since she was 16! Because she is a huge ball of energy and super fun, the girls love her, but she also is no push over. She keeps everyone in line. They learn a ton, even in the creative movement classes. She's found the balance we all strive for as parents and want from our kids' teachers.

3. At the end of the year they do a performance on the big stage at Westlake HIgh School. I can not tell you how special and cool this made my little girl feel-she was beaming like she was a movie star.

There is not a kids activity in Austin I would recommend more. It's just a really special place that has clearly been grown with love by a kind, fun, smart lady.
